About Us
In 1954, The National Drifters, Incorporated was formed in Waco, Texas to nurture warm friendships and provide a social outlet for women with similar backgrounds and interests. By 1956, the National Drifters had organized and established chapters in Detroit, Chicago, Louisville, Indianapolis, St. Louis, New York, and Kansas City.
As the organization continued to evolve, so did its mission which incorporates service to local communities where members reside. The 37 chapters provide scholarships to youth along with assistance to seniors as they promote the national theme, ?Strengthen our families to build better communities,? including a focus on voter education and registration.
