Description

The Mountaintop is a play about Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.'s final night on April 3, 1968, at the Lorraine Motel in Memphis, hours before his assassination. A mysterious motel maid named Camae visits him, and through humorous, flirtatious, and poignant dialogue, she prompts the exhausted King to confront his destiny, mortality, and legacy as a human being and an icon.
