Learn how to shoot with 4 different lighting techniques in 90 minutes! We will teach attendees how to light 4 different ways with one continuous light source - Top down, 45 deg, Side back key, Underlit. Attendees simply have to bring their digital cameras, film cameras or camera phones (iPhones)! We will set up a mini studio with continuous lights to teach attendees the fundamentals of lighting with one key source. Open to children and adults! A?bout the Artist: Emanuel Hahn will be in residence at The Square from November - December, 2023. Emanuel Hahn is a Los Angeles-based photographer and director whose work explores themes of cultural identity and the immigrant experience in the United States. He draws on history, archival photography, Western and Korean art, and personal memories to construct scenes that show different facets of the immigrant experience. He's interested in challenging simplistic notions of the American immigrant process - whether it's the model minority myth, or the bootstrap model - and also complicating the seemingly linear idea of assimilation.
