Join our panel of Black women business owners as they share their stories about starting and running their businesses. Hear about how they have and continue to overcome challenges in order to run a successful business. Moderated by Tonya Davis Johnson, Director of Palm Beach County's Office of Equal Business Opportunity.
Moderator - Tonya Davis Johnson
Tonya Davis Johnson is the Director of the Palm Beach County Office of Equal Business Opportunity that exists to promote the economic growth, expansion and increased productivity of small business enterprises in Palm Beach County. In this role, Tonya is responsible for administering the County’s stated objective of ensuring equal opportunity to bid for County projects, leases and contracts. She is also responsible developing and implementing policies and procedures that will enhance Small, Minority and Woman Business Enterprise (S/M/WBE) participation in the county’s contracting and procurement opportunities. She establishes certification procedures and identifies competitive contracting opportunities for certified S/M/WBEs. She has developed community outreach initiatives for the overall advancement of entrepreneurship in Palm Beach County and its surrounding communities.
